~Green Day will perform at the American Music Awards Nov. 22 and will play a free concert Nov. 23 in L.A. On New Year’s Eve they will be in NYC.

There is some confusion if they will be in Times Square or playing from California, according to the thread at the Idiot Club. I hope it’s from NYC but no one is sure. No official explanation over there.

i’ll throw out the offer for them to come play at my home for new year’s and broadcast from here. will buy pj’s for everyone and fresh new bars of soap.

The Idiot Club poster says s/he heard it from Tre? That sounds rather odd. TBH it doesn’t really matter to me. Unless the Idiot Club has some special deal that makes attending the event manageable (the hint on gd.com offers no clues), there’s no way I’m going to Times Square on New Year’s Eve. :)

They did have a notice on gd.com saying to stay tuned for details on how to attend the show, and I got super excited, but the the message board guy claimed what he did. It makes sense, since they have to spend time with the kids and fly from Australia then off to japan, but who knows until we know.

Oh sorry, I didn’t see your thing about gd.com. Yes, it is rather cryptic that notice. It may be why they are taping that show with Carson Daly in LA in Nov. the entire thing may be canned and they will be relaxing in the East Bay for NYE.
